Wolcott's trip to Alaska

WE ARE HOME!

We are in Brigham City, Utah...tomorrow our goal is to get to Rawlins, WY then home!

Today was not real pretty until we got close to Idaho. They grow lots of onions, 22,000 loads of onions come out of the area. We also saw corn, wheat, hay, fruit trees, vinyards, and a couple crops we could not ID. We stopped in Caldwell, Idaho. Had to stop here...I am a Caldwell afterall!

We have shopped Sisters and have had a really nice brunch overlooking the Mirror Pond in Bend with wonderful music by a local artist. We then headed out to Mt Bachelor to see the ski runs. There are 71 runs! We are hoping to get to Boise, Idaho tomorrow then we are about 900 miles from home.

From Bellingham we went to Vancouver, WA...had Oyster Stew and Pan Fried Oysters at Dan and Louis Oyster Bar in Portland, OR. We then took Hwy 84 to Hwy 35 to Hwy 26, Hwy 126 to 242 and that is where we took a wrong turn onto 242. The map shows it as a Hwy but it is not! Do Not travel this in a Motor Home! We survived with no dents or scratches! Beautiful trip for people in a CAR! We stayed in Belknap Hot Springs are before coming to Sisters. We left the last of our caravan friends this morning so we are on our own from now on. Made so many great friends and we have so many Memories! We are in Sisters, OR, cute little town about 20 miles from Bend. Tomorrow Dick wants to see Bend. We probably 5 days from home. Our trip has been over 7200 miles and have over 1100 miles to go before we are home!
